Brad Roderick Biography
Brad Roderick, executive vice president at InkCycle in Lenexa, Kan., spent many childhood days on his grandparent’s Midwestern farm where his passion to advocate for an eco-friendly environment first became a reality. A profound professional accomplishment, the creation of “Grenk” marked the first zero landfill-waste line of products in the aftermarket print cartridge industry. InkCylce and Roderick’s mission is to leave the smallest environmental footprint possible by reducing over-consumption and continuing to raise individual awareness of environmental concerns. Roderick’s personal goal through raising awareness is to encourage people to take personal responsibility for their actions. He believes that the more consumers demand green products, the more businesses will create new and better ways to address their impact. Businesses are at the forefront of being able to reuse waste products and give them a second life.
In 2007, InkCylce joined the Greater Kansas City Chamber’s Climate Protection Partnership as a founding member with the belief that through sharing of best practices and continually elevating local awareness, community members can begin to reverse carbon emission and other problems inherent in a geographic region that is a primary trucking transportation hub.
From listening to his grandparent’s concerns with some agricultural farm practices to his own personal eco-commitment, Roderick is now responsible for the strategic initiative direction and vision at InkCycle. He has more than two decades of experience in positioning aftermarket and OEM printing supplies for maximum profitability. Prior to joining InkCycle, Roderick was principal partner at Roderick and Associates, a consulting agency to the aftermarket supplies industry. Past experience includes Sales and Product Management at Hitachi’s Dataproducts Imaging Supplies Division and before joining Dataproducts he worked in the magnetic media and copier industries. Roderick has won numerous sales, speaking and writing awards and is a frequent trainer, speaker, writer and a recognized leader on green initiatives within the print cartridge aftermarket industry.
